Marie De Vera and Sarah Gonsalves are the clever duo behind The Style Co., one of Australia’s most in-demand Event and Floral Design studios.

Together with their talented team of event designers, producers, florists and planners, Marie and Sarah put their passion, heart and soul into every single facet of their work and the result – no two events are ever the same.

The Style Co’s incredible work has been recognised both locally and internationally.

TSC: We love working with the Harry the hirer teams and of course having a play with all the beautiful furniture! Their ranges only get better and better and we’re always excited about any newbies that they release.

It’s always lovely to work with people that get you and who do all that they can to provide a high standard of service and product.

What is the inspiration behind your 'lab'?

TSC: It's 5 o'clock somewhere in the world, right?! We wanted to create a space that focused on our favourite area of any event… the bar!

We chose to play with bold colour, scale and texture.

What did you want to achieve with this setting?

TSC: We wanted to do something a little different to the expected but something true to where we’d rather be in the middle of a Melbourne winter. A bar, set in some far away amazing city and serving our favourite Gin cocktails.

What is your favourite design element or principle to work with?

TSC: Texture! Happy to work in monochrome as long as we have an abundance of textures to have a play with.

Why do you love your job?

TSC: We get hang out on Pinterest and Instagram all day; coffee is a legitimate reason to have a break, and opening deliveries feels like Christmas! But mainly, we get to design the dream, work with the best teams in the biz to make them a reality for literally the most amazing clients.

We get to call this our job, how can you not love it?

What are your favourite types of events to attend?

TSC: We love going to anything where we get to see beautiful design or have a drink and mingle with our favourite people.
