Harry the Hirer Productions proudly supports Melbourne's Moomba Festival. Read more below about our involvement and key highlights.
Melbourne City Council engaged Harry the Hirer as a key delivery partner for Moomba — Melbourne's largest and most beloved community festival, running since 1955. With Harry's responsible for the design and delivery of four main performance stages, bringing a distinctive look and feel since 2010. The main stage featured a 12m x 12m ground support system, paired with a state-of-the-art wireless lighting system and a touring-grade sound system.
In 2026, Harry the Hirer Productions build the birdman stage with a major twist- the stage was built on land, then craned onto a barge and driven out to the middle of the Yarra River. Craning a multi-tonne stage is no easy feat, but with meticulous planning the crane lift was a major success.

In 2025 the Harry the Hirer Productions competed in our first Bird Man & will be doing so again in 2026!
