Creating Beautiful is a bespoke design and creative hub, situated in Melbourne, offering design + concept, styling and blooms for creative occasions.

CB: An essential part of our business is having strong networks, and Harry the hirer are exactly this as our preferred supplier for furniture and lighting production. We feel the relationship is balanced as we genuinely care about each other’s success and friendship.

What did you want to achieve with your Style Lab creation, 'Kiki Lounge'?

CB: We had an appetite to create an alluring space that was opulent and nostalgic. The fringe textures introduce an Art Deco element, ruffling the scene and inviting guests with its fun and flirtatious feel.

What is your favourite design element/principle to design with?

CB: Playing with colours and textures in a space adding mood, dimension and interest.

Why do you love your job?

CB: Our work allows us to have a creative outlet and indulge in our love of interior, fashion and design! It is an ever-evolving industry where we are able to push the creative boundaries.

What trends do you see emerging in 2019?

CB: Adding a sense of drama and theatrics to spaces with installations of fringe, billowing fabrics and pendant lighting. Dusty tones are emerging and blush has cemented its mark as a neutral tone to temper palettes.

What are your favourite types of events to attend?

CB: Weddings! A dining experience surrounded by romance and beauty all night long, who would pass that up?
